Bientina, built at the foot of Mount Pisano southeast, in the vast area of reclaimed river bed of the lake and the hills of Cerbaie same name, has an orthogonal plan. Ancient castle was mentioned in 793, sold by the Marquis of Tuscany, to the archbishops of Pisa. In the town, with the remains of medieval fortifications, stands the church of the Assumption, restored in the eighteenth century, in which there is a pulpit of the fifteenth century and a lovely wooden ceiling with stucco.
